Congratuations to Schelita Hill and Rita Van Hoosear on their recent nomination as Classified Employee of the Year and Teacher of the Year, respectively.  The Ocean Shores staff threw a luncheon in their honor and to celebrate their nominations.  Mrs. Van Hoosear teaches Art and our ELD classes while Mrs. Hill is our Nutrition Services Lead.  Both ladies are known for their dedication to helping student succeed in their current programs.

“Schelita is a great woman.  She’s always energetic and excited to see us.  She treats us like her own children, always making sure everyone is doing well and is being fed!” ~ Alexis Galindo, student

“Throughout the duration of my time at Ocean Shores I have had teachers that have gone the extra mile to ensure my academic success; but, one in particular has pushed me to get out of my comfort zone as an artist and apply new concepts to my work. I am a better student and artist because of Mrs. Van Hoosear.” Brandon Charriere, student

We are so proud you Schelita and Rita!  Congratulations!

Ocean Shores sends a heartfelt THANK YOU to Christine DeSanto and the Area X Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society!

A generous donation has been made in an effort to alleviate the hurdle of finding transportation to and from school that a number of our students face.  Monies received have gone to the purchasing of day passes as well as monthly bus passes for select students. Contributions made by individuals and organizations such as this provides our students the ability to attend classes each day so they can reach their goal of graduating from high school.

Thank you for choosing the students of Ocean Shores for this gift!

North Coast Church Volunteers Beautifies Ocean Shores Campus

On the weekend of April 25-26, our school was the recipient of volunteers from North Coast Church giving their time, landscaping skills and donated materials to beautify the inner section of our campus. Volunteers constructed guard rails separating the upper and lower parts of the campus as well as planting rosemary, succulents, lilies and other plants along our walkways. Please take a moment to view the short slide show on the right hand side of of webpage.

Our sincere and deepest gratitude to the volunteers who took the time to give back to our school!
